To direct customers to a specific Help topic in an e-mail, the easiest way is to send a direct topic link to the Web help. Here is how you can do that:

1. Open the Web help page in your browser.

The Web help page addresses are the following for the various versions of memoQ (in English):

2. Search for the topic you want to send on, or navigate to it in the contents. Your browser will display the topic titles on the left pane (where you search or browse the contents).

3. In the left pane – in the table of contents –, right-click the title of the topic, and then choose the following command (depends on the browser):

  • Chrome: Copy link address
  • Firefox: Copy link location
  • Internet Explorer: Copy shortcut

This will copy the link to the Help topic to the Clipboard.

4. Return to the e-mail you are writing, and paste the link in the text.

Note that the link will look like this:

If the user clicks this, the topic will appear without the table of contents, which can be a problem if the user needs to navigate away.

To send the link so that the table of contents is also displayed, insert 'index.html?' right before the topic name (that is, after the last slash ('/') character):
