Title: memoQ on Mac

Context: You wish to install memoQ on a Mac computer.

Description: Ultimately memoQ is not compatible with the Mac OS, but you can run memoQ on a Mac.

How to:

You need to use a virtual computer (e.g.Parallels Desktop for Mac).

In order to install Windows on the virtual machine, see the detailed system requirements in the Installation and activation guide, available here.

Once set up, download and install memoQ like you would on a PC.

Warning: If you're using Parallels Desktop:

Please make sure you do not use the shared folders functionality (paths starting with psf\) with memoQ. Any file that you work with in memoQ, be it documents, projects, TMs, TBs, everything should reside in folders that are native to Windows (seen as something like c:\somefolder\somefile.ext).

[ Erik]: Are network drives always a problem? 16-01-2013 18:32

What happens if you use network drives with MemoQ? What about if you map a network drive to use a drive letter? What about network drives on a Linux host when running MemoQ in a Windows VM?
